Overview
Ocean County College (OCC) is public, two-year community college with a main campus located in Toms River, New Jersey. More than 10,000 students attend OCC both on site and online.
The OCC School of E-learning offers five COMPLETE online Associate degree programs: Business, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, General Studies and Computer Science. Online class offerings are vast and can be taken as part of a degree program or on a course-by-course basis according to student needs.
OCC is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the Commission on Higher Education.
Student Appeal
OCC makes taking online classes available with premier distance education software and setup. The format emphasizes active learning in which the students take charge of their schedule and participation. OCC uses an innovative platform for managing, tracking, promoting and sharing information with students about college courses, campus events, and career services in one unified, software system.
Online courses follow the same academic calendar as traditional on-campus courses.
Financial
In additional to a wide variety of academic scholarships and awards, Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available to eligible students, which includes Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF), Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Work Study, Federal Family Education Loan Stafford Loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) and Federal PLUS (Parent Loans).
Financial Aid may be available to some students after submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Our School Code is 002624.
